Adelaide Directory

Adelaide, the most populated city in South Australia, is a beautiful little city with a population of about 1.1 million residents. The CBD is surrounded by gracious colonial architecture fringed with a border of beautiful parklands. The city is divided into two parts, North Adelaide and Adelaide, separated by the Torrens River.

Adelaide is centrally located to many of the region’s wineries. The McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Clare Valley wineries are all within a day trip from the city’s centre. The natural beauty of Adelaide Hills draws many visitors with its spectacular views of the Adelaide plains, Adelaide metropolitan area, Adelaide CBD, Glenelg and surrounding areas.

During late February – March the Adelaide Fringe Festival brings the city to life with music, arts, dance and culture from all over the world. This event is the second largest in the world and draws many visitors from all over Australia and the world.

Adelaide also boasts that it has a pub on “every block of the CBD” and the city exports Coopers beer to many other countries of the world, so the beer is a favorite around these parts.
